Walkway between Peggs Crescent and Holland River Boulevard

This walkway has no lights and no garbage cans. Its is often used a place for teens to hang out at night causing noise disturbance and vandlism. Beer and bottles are often smashed on the ground making it dangerous to walk. There is no buffer between the walkway and the neighbourhood properties which border it.

What can we do about this walkway?

We have to create an action plan which will be presented to the Town of East Gwillimbury and the Region of York. The main concern here is lighting. Without lighting in the walkway there is no way for anyone to even see what is happening in the park at night and gives the best possible cover to those who do not want to be seen. A request will be made that the walkway is included in community patrols by the Town and the Police.
